TENSES REVIEW

We know lot of grammar tenses:

  • Present simple: Subject +  verb +  complements 
    • Aff: I go to my house / She goes to her house. 
    • Neg: I don´t go to my house / She doesn´t go to her house.
    • Q: Do I go to my house? / Does she go to her house?
  • Past simple: Subject + verb in past simple + complements.
    • Aff: I went to my house / She went to her house.
    • Neg: I did not (didn´t) go to my house / She did not (didn´t) go to her house.
    • Q: Did I go to my house? / Did She go to her house? 
    • Present continuous: Subject + verb to be + verb + -ing + complements.
      • Aff: I am going to my house / She is going to her house.
      • Neg: I am not going to my house / She is not going to her house.
      • Q: Am I going to my house? / Is she going to her house?
    • Past continuous: Subject + was/were (this is the verb to be in past) + verb + -ing + complements.
      •  Aff: I was going to my house / We were going to our house.
      • Neg: I was not (wasn´t) going to my house / We were not (weren´t) going to our house.
      • Q: Was I going to my house? / Were we going to our house?
    • Present perfect: Subject + have/has + past participle of the verb +  complements.
      • Aff: I have gone to my house / She has gone to her house.
      • Neg: I have not (haven´t) gone to my house / She has not (hasn´t) gone to her house.
      • Q: Have I gone to my house? / Has she gone to her house?
